For ~79-80 bucks (when I purchased this August 12, 2025), this is a very basic Air Fryer. It’s not bad, but it’s not the greatest.First issue is the power cord. It’s ridiculously short.I swear it must be like 1.5-2 feet long. Before I was even able to use it, I had to find an extension cord; Which nobody should have to do when spending nearly 80 bucks on an appliance!Second issue, is the basket never seems to want to line up, and go in smoothly.I find myself constantly jiggling it, pulling it out, looking to make sure it’s lined up, trying to insert it and failing again just to restart the process until it finally seats properly.Third issue, (but easily rectifiable), there is no Preset, or auto Pre-Heat function. My previous Air Fryer had an automatic pre-heat feature when you’d turn it on, it would set itself for 400f for about 1 minute, before throttling down to I think 350f before shutting off if no activity is detected for 5 minutes. This not only cut cooking time, but also cleaned/sterilized everything making the whole process cleaner. Not too big of a deal, you can get the same effect by just adding an additional 5 minutes to your cook-time, but just be sure to wait that initial 5 minutes before putting your food in the basket/fryer.Now, not everything is bad news. This does work, and works pretty well, I just don’t think the above issues and lack of features like pre-heating, and custom presets (Where is the Pizza preset?!).I’ll never use the Fish/Shrimp/Soup(I think that’s a soup icon in the upper right-hand corner), and I’d prefer to set those to something I’d much rather use.Anyhow,TL;DRIt works, The cord is really short, no custom presets/pre-heat, drawer doesn’t easily slide in/out.I think this is more like a $40-$50 device. My last Air Fryer was 8QT, had all above listed missing features from this, and cost me around 70-80 bucks, and lasted me around 5-6 years before it died from neglect and proper maintenance by an ex.UPDATE:Ordered on August 12, 2025Died on September 23, 2025This thing lasted a little over a month before it stopped working. It was in the middle of cooking some pork chops, and just shut off.I unplugged it, took out the food, left it unplugged for about an hour, and plugged it back it, but nothing lights up.Completely worthless now!I’m Livid!

This was my maiden voyage into air frying, and after this joyride, I may just dog-paddle back to the good ol’ oven. I used to think air fryers were a passing fad—like Beanie Babies, frosted tips, or 8-tracks for the kitchen. Turns out I was wrong. Air frying didn’t vanish into the abyss… but maybe this particular unit should.Let’s set the scene:I, an air fryer virgin, decided to take the plunge with the universal trial-by-fire—chicken wings. I figured if this contraption could make wings sing, we’d have a future together.Spoiler alert: We don’t.I did everything the internet told me to: dried the wings like I was prepping them for cryogenic freezing, seasoned them like a Food Network finalist, and laid them gently in the basket like they were newborns. No overcrowding. No stacking. Just good, honest effort. Then came the settings. I pressed the chicken leg icon because nothing says “culinary precision” like cartoon poultry. Twenty minutes at 400°F. Ten minutes in, I flipped them. At the end, the fryer turned off with the drama of a dying Tamagotchi—no beep, no buzz, just off. I checked the temp. Wings were cooked to a perfect 190–200°F.But… they looked like boiled cafeteria leftovers. Limp. Pale. Zero crunch. About as crispy as wet newspaper. I gave them ten more minutes. Better? Slightly. Still disappointing? Absolutely.I ate them anyway. No sauce. No sides. Just me, my shame, and a plate of mediocrity. I needed to understand what this “air fryer magic” was all about. I still don’t.Bottom line:Texture? Weak.Color? Sad.Flavor? Nothing the oven couldn’t do better.Experience? Regret-forward.This wasn’t a total disaster—I didn’t set anything on fire. But calling these “fried” is like calling a 1997 Corolla a race car because it has wheels. I’ve made better wings in a toaster oven. Hell, I’ve made better wings in the microwave—and that’s a sentence I never thought I’d write.Maybe other air fryers are better. Maybe this one’s the Yugo of the group. Either way, this one didn’t sell me on the trend. It now sits in the corner of my kitchen, daring me to give it another shot with fries or fish or some other lie. I’m not biting. Two stars for being easy to clean and for not exploding. But if you’re after crispy, golden joy… keep walking.
